On the eve of the start of season 4 of Legomasters, Legomasters Out of the Box, RTL4 wanted to surprise guest Jack Spijkerman on their program "Renze." Could they build something cool for Jack in a weekend, and give it to LM presenter Ruben Nicolaï? Of course!
And we were invited to witness the presentation; it's fun to witness the recording of such a broadcast, but even better to see the reactions live after a weekend of Lego building!
The reference is to the program Jack presented for 35 years: Kopspijkers (Spiritual Nails), which featured a game where you had to hammer a nail into the table as quickly as possible.
The design deliberately deviates slightly from the original to keep the lawyers happy.
Uiteraard moet het blok wel stevig zijn om tee voorkomen op Live TV uit elkaar te donderen. In de poten zitten daarom technic balken verwerkt die de nodigie stevigheid geven. Een logo op de onderzijde mag natuurlijk niet ontbreken!
Ruben hield de verrassing voor Jack goed geheim onder de tafel.

Nice detail: the box can be opened. Inside is a surprise: a Lego interpretation of the Televizierring. Jack won this award, and that's something to be proud of, so the inside was the perfect place to add a little homage.
We were invited to the presentation, and both Jack and Ruben were very enthusiastic. It was fantastic!
