The departure of a highly valued colleague prompted a group of colleagues to give him a nice gift. And what do you give someone who loves building Lego? His own Lego set!
The professor received a model of the building. But, he still had to build it himself. A nice detail: his office is lit in yellow.

Using photos, scale models, Google Street View, and publications of the building, we were able to create a model that shows the university building as accurately as possible.
The building features a distinctive motto by the poet Lieven Segers, which simply had to be included in the model: "Chaque matin elle a tout oublié." We had this custom-printed.
The design was done digitally, with construction techniques, building experience, and accuracy as key priorities. After all, building should be fun!
Part of the design process involves choosing the colors and details. Here, the roof is still white, and you can see some variations on the roof terrace colors.
And after a few iterations, this is the final product. As far as we're concerned, it makes a fantastic farewell gift for the professor!
