Large figures, lighting, and magical movement were central to this year's joint project. It has become a castle-like space with stained-glass windows, bookcases, and a fireplace. To prepare it for trade shows, everything has been divided into modules and components so that it fits easily in the trunk of a car, and is also assembled accordingly.
After a rough layout of the base plates, we designed bookcases with movable books and drawers. The walls were built only around the cabinets to allow easy access for the motor drive.
A chess set copied from what Arne and I built in Legomasters (episode 8), and two paintings of the lord and lady of the house who occasionally look at each other (motor function).
The stained-glass windows are constructed with fences and many colorful panels. With a little lighting along them, the effect is magical!
After making a Chesterfield chair that we were so enthusiastic about, we also built a Chesterfield sofa.
A sturdy frame in the base provides space for the motor drive and ensures that the whole thing remains sturdy during transport!
Constantly building and reflecting. More building, more reflection. But: the fireplace is so definitely what you want!
The story truly comes to life with characters. A girl reading, a man taking off his boots, and a woman searching for a good book while a German shepherd dog rests.
The final result!
